Sultan Kudarat DPWH officials, employees witness the ceremonial distribution of livelihood packages for 205 beneficiaries of DILEEP

ISULAN, Sultan Kudarat — Officials and employees of the Sultan Kudarat’s first and second district engineering offices of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), together with hundreds of other employees of the provincial-based line government agencies, witnessed the “ceremonial distribution” of DILEEP (DOLE Integrated Livelihood and Emergency Employment Program) starter kits for 205 beneficiaries yesterday (Monday, Feb. 3, 2020) morning held inside the Sultan Kudarat Gymnasium and Cultural Center in Isulan town.

The officials of the DPWH first and second district engineering offices who attended the event are Engr. Amer T. Pundag, MPA (OIC District Engineer of the 1st DEO), Engr. Alihar A. Mama (OIC Assistant District Engineer of the 1st DEO) Engr. Levie D. Trabado (OIC Assistant District Engineer of 2nd DEO), Engr. Bong Mamalo (Chief, Construction Section of the 1st DEO), Engr. Hazel Socias (Chief, Maintenance Section of the 1st DEO), Engr. Dolores Gotico (Head, Procurement Unit of the 1st DEO) and Anna Lissa Enaguas (District PIO-Designate of the 1st DEO).

The beneficiaries were jointly identified by the provincial government of Sultan Kudarat, under the leadership of Governor Suharto “TENG” Mangudadatu, PhD., and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).

The said ceremonial distribution took place after the flag ceremony hosted by various agencies, led by the Sultan Kudarat-Pubic Employment and Services Office (PESO), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), National Commission on Indigenous People (NCIP), Department of Health (DOH), PHILHEALTH and many others.

In his speech, one of the members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) who also attended the program said the giving of the livelihood kits is part of the promise of Governor Mangudadatu that under his administration, “no one would be left behind.”

 

“Yan ay alay ng probinsya para sa mga mahihirap na gustong magkaroon ng pangkabuhayan,” the SP member said.

The granting of livelihood to the beneficiaries is a joint program of the DOLE and the provincial government of Sultan Kudarat, through its Public Employment and Services Office. (RAMIL BAJO)
