Maintenance Section of the Sultan Kudarat First District Engineering Office gets Excellence award from DPWH

ISULAN, Sultan Kudarat —The Maintenance Section (MS) of the Sultan Kudarat 1st District Engineering Office (SK1stDEO) was among the “Top 20” District Engineering Offices (DEOs) that received “excellence award” in equipment management from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

The Maintenance Section is headed by Engr. Hazel Socias.

The excellence award for equipment management is given to those DEOs of the DPWH for doing “excellent” efforts in managing its equipment that resulted in its sustainability and long-time services.  

 

Out of the 180 DEOs of the agency scattered in the country’s 16 regions, only 20 of it got the excellence award.

Engr. Rolando Durias Jr., one of the Maintenance Section engineers, proudly announced the said: “good news” to his fellow employees during the “February 2019 PEPTALK” of the district office last Monday.

“When we found out that our district office made it to the Top 20, we uttered no words! We are really surprised. We gladly received the excellence award,” Engr. Durias said.

Engr. Durias said the award was given during the “special meeting” of the Bureau of Equipment officials, personnel and other delegates from the 180 DEOs of the agency.

At the regional level, Engr. Durias said the SK1stDEO was one of the three DEOs that got the award in Region 12.

He said the two other awardees are the first and second district engineering offices of Cotabato province.
