SULTAN KUDARAT, Philippines — A total of 1,563 students in Bambad National High School, Isulan, Sultan Kudarat (SK) benefitted from the completion of two adjacent laboratory buildings implemented by the Department of Public Works and Highways XII.
District Engineer Amer T. Pundag of SK1st District Engineering Office said that the construction of school buildings is part of the shared commitment of the DPWH and DepEd to provide quality education by addressing classroom shortages and provision of other facilities. He also emphasized that the buildings are equipped with an automatic fire protection system to ensure the safety of students.
According to Ms. Gracia Espinosa Emplamado, a Junior and Senior High School Teacher, the three-storey building with six laboratory rooms is occupied by 1,081 Junior students. Each floor is assigned for welding, techvoc and Information Technology (IT).
The second building is a two-storey four- laboratory rooms assigned for welding and IT. These are occupied by 482 senior high school students.
The project was funded under the Basic Educational Facilities Fund amounting to Php 56.4 Million. (PRESS RELEASE FROM DPWH REGION 12)
