Philippine Health Department confirmed 13 new additional cases of Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). As of March 14, there are already 111 positive cases in the country.
Due to the continuous widespread of this pandemic disease in the world, the Department of Transportation (DOTR) releases a new guideline that aims to practice ‘social distancing’ and hamper the spread of this new breed of transmittable disease.
Passengers for Taxis’ and Transportation Network Vehicle Services shall be limited to 4 person and should be one seat apart. Meanwhile, passengers for UV Express will not be more than 6 including the drivers and should also be one seat apart.
Passengers for old and modern jeeps shall be limited to half of its expected number of capacity per unit and no standing passengers for modern jeeps.
Public buses expected passengers would be limited to 25 people including the driver and conductor per individual unit.
On the other hand, Motorcycle Taxi Ride-Hailing Apps will also be suspended starting March 15, 2020, 12 midnight.
Multiple bookings for a single trip to TNVS during the community quarantine would also be prohibited.
On the other hand, point to point buses (P2P) would be allowed in Ninoy Aquino International Airport NAIA to Clark International Airport and Sangley Airport given that it follows protocol and procedure from the DOH and PNP.
