ISULAN, Sultan Kudarat — District Engineer Amer T. Pundag, MPA called an emergency meeting today (March 17, 2020) to discuss with the section chiefs and unit heads about the prevailing threats of the deadly COVID-Acute Respiratory Disease (ARD) 2019, or popularly known as “coronavirus,” in the workplace of the first district engineering office of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in Sultan Kudarat province.

Pundag sees the need for the employees to stand as “one family” in building a unified effort to shield them against the grave threats they are facing as the COVID-19 is continue spreading its infection to a higher level in various parts of the world.
“We need to shield ourselves against the virus,” said Engr. Pundag, who earlier ordered the employees to clean the surroundings of their respective workplaces and disinfect what is supposed to be disinfected as a precautionary measure.
Apart from ordering the employees to do a clean-up on their offices, Engr. Pundag also ordered last week Administrative Section Chief Ansare M. Busran and Human Resource and Management Officer Teody L. Platon to temporarily suspend the use of biometric scanning and time attendance of the district office. (RAMIL H.
