ISULAN, Sultan Kudarat — This time, it’s not honesty but kindness. Another resident from Senator Ninoy Aquino town in Sultan Kudarat province showed kindness by giving back the P5,000 cash assistance, under the government’s Social Amelioration Program (SAP), he received from the DSWD.
In an interview via fb messenger, SNA Mayor Randy Ecija Jr. said one of the town’s residents named Mr. Gerald Novillas Burlaza did something that surprised the DSWD personnel yesterday.
Mayor Ecija described Mr. Burlaza’s act of giving back the money as a concrete proof of “kindness” to others.
Earlier that day, a certain SNA resident named Mr. Alvin Generalao turned it back the P5,000 SAP cash assistance he received from the DSWD personnel saying “isauli ko Maam kay nakakuha na pala ang misis ko ng SAP P5K na nasa ibang lugar.”
Mr. Generalao’s act of “honesty” earned praises from the netizens.
