SHARIFF AGUAK, Maguindanao (BARMM) — Residents, through Facebook posts, have praised First Lady Bai Emarie “EM” Mangudadatu-Ampatuan for helping her husband Mayor Engr. Marop B. Ampatuan during the distribution of food packs here.

A Shariff Aguak official told The DIYARYO MILENYO that Bai Emarie had been helping Mayor Ampatuan since the first day of the relief distribution that started last month of April.

“Instead of staying at their house, she volunteered to be a part of Mayor Marop’s relief operations for their fellow ‘kababayans’ affected by the quarantine and lockdown due to the threat of “coronavirus,” officially known as “COVID-19,” the official said.

Reports reaching The DIYARYO MILENYO said that last May 9, 2020, Mayor Marop, assisted by the relief workers and troops of the PNP and AFP, distributed food assistance to the town’s 13 barangays.

A total of 10,000 houses received food assistance in separate relief operations, according to reports. (RAMIL H. BAJO via MINDANAO DESK/PHOTO CREDIT TO THE SHARIFF AGUAK MUNICIPALITY)
