Read Time:1 Minute, 20 Second

ISULAN, Sultan Kudarat — Two female employees of the 1st District Engineering Office (1st DEO) of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in Sultan Kudarat province were honored yesterday (Wednesday, June 17, 2020) in a simple ceremony.

Honorees Angelita S. Pedrajas and Susan Formoso proudly posed for a remembrance with Assistant District Engineer Alihar A. Mama (center), Administrative Section Chief Ansary Busran (in black) and GAD (Gender and Development) Focal Person Engr. Marina Cognito (in purple) after a very short ceremony that lasted two minutes only.

“Both of them received plaques of appreciation for their devotions in serving the district office for more than 41 years,” Engr. Mama told The DIYARYO MILENYO‘s contributor Mr. Abdul Campua in an interview to him after the ceremony.

Engr. Mama stressed that their so-called “unselfish devotion” in serving the district office is “very worthy” to be recognized.

Mr. Campua visited Engr. Mama that day to interview him about the safety measures it implemented for its employees.

GAD Focal Person Engr. Cognito said the giving of “plaque of appreciation” to the said two honorees is part of the activities prepared by the district office in celebrating the Women’s Month last March 2020.

“Actually, noong March pa siya dapat naibigay sa kanilang dalawa pero dahil sa outbreak ng COVID-19 hindi natuloy. Ngayon medyo hindi na masyadong mahigpit we took the opportunity to give it to them,” Engr. Cognito said.

She added: “The DPWH-SK 1st DEO honored them in recognition for their unselfish devotion in serving the district office for more than 41 years.” (ABDUL CAMPUA via Mindanao Desk)
