PHOTO NEWS: First elected female governor of Maguindanao province is a reservist
MAGUINDANAO, Philippines — Aside from being a governor of Maguindanao province, she is also an official of the Army Reserve Command (ARESCOM) of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) with a rank of “Lieutenant Colonel.”
She is Maguindanao Governor Ba Mariam Sangki-Mangudadatu, the wife of Governor Datu Suharto “TENG” Mangudadatu, PhD of Sultan Kudarat province.
Governor Mangudadatu, popularly known as “Bai Mariam,” is gaining prominence for her “Makamasa” type of governance. She is extending her hands to the ordinary Moro folks of Maguindanao as her way of showing to them the presence of “Gobyernong May Malasakit sa Maguindanao” (GMSM).
GMSM is the administrative core of Bai Mariam’s governance that reflects her social, political, economic and development agenda for the province of Maguindanao and its people. For the people of Maguindanao, Bai Mariam brings hope and change. (Rashid RH. Bajo via DM-Mindanao Desk)
