PNP Mobile Force holds “Kapehan sa Sitio” in IP village in Sultan Kudarat
SULTAN KUDARAT, Philippines — Police Lieutenant Colonel Roy Romualdo, force commander of the Sultan Kudarat Provincial Mobile Force (SKPMFC), led the “Kapehan sa Sitio” on June 24, 2020 to teach and educate the members of the Manobo-Dulangan tribe in Sitio Taliwa, Barangay Sewod in Senator Ninoy Aquino town in Sultan Kudarat province.
In an interview through her Facebook messenger, SKPMFC-PCAD-PNCO Patrolwoman Mary Eileen Bautista told DIYARYO MILENYO that the “Kapehan sa Sitio” with natives is one of the best practices of their company in “reaching-out the far-flung areas of the IP communities” to make dialogue to know their “issues” and “concerns” that they can bring to the government for possible “actions and solutions.”

“The Kapehan sa Sitio is also a good venue for us to inform and educate the natives about the government’s programs and projects. During the dialogue with the IPs, we emphasized to them that the government has the best to offer for them,” Patrolwoman Bautista said.
She added: “Ginigiyahan namin sila para sa tamang desisyon para sa tamang daan patungo sa ating gobyerno.”
Patrolwoman Bautista said the holding of dialogue with the IPs is in line with the EO 70, otherwise known as the “ELCAC” or “End Local Communist Armed Conflict.” (Rashid RH. Bajo, Chief of Correspondents, DM-Mindanao Desk)
