Alkalde ng QC, nagpositibo sa COVID-19

Inihayag ni Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte na siya ay nagpositibo sa coronavirus disease 2019.

Aniya, kahit nagpositibo si Mayor Belmonte ay tuloy pa rin ang kanyang serbisyo at pagtatrabaho sa lungsod ng QC at hindi nito hahayaang mabalewala ang kaniyang paglilingkod sa kanyang nasasakupan.

“Nangyari po ito sa kabila ng aking ibayong pag-iingat, pagsusuot ng face mask, madalas na paghugas ng kamay, at social distancing. Kaya sana magsilbi itong paalala na ang COVID-19 ay tunay na isang kakaibang sakit na dapat pag-ingatan pa nang lubusan.” saad ng alkalde.

Asymptomatic si Belmonte at kasalukuyan nang naka quarantine base na rin sa pagsunod ng quarantine protocols ng Department of Health at sinimulan na rin ang contact tracing procedure. (RBM / Photo courtesy: advocatesomi)
