KORONADAL CITY, Philippines — Beauty queen-turned public servant Mylene Bascon De Guzman considered “prayer” as the best answer to all the fears, worries and concerns of the residents while they are coping with the threats of the deadly COVID-19 disease.
“Prayer can solve our problems that give us worries and fears during this COVID-19 pandemic,” City Councilor De Guzman said during a radio program here this morning.
“We should not lose our hopes. We should always believe to the power of prayer. All the problems have solutions, and through a prayer, you can have that solution,” Councilor De Guzman stressed.
She also appealed to the residents to follow the health and safety protocols issued by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) against the “coronavirus” that continually wreaking havoc in various parts of the world.
“Let us always follow the social distancing and wear face mask when we go out in our houses,” Councilor De Guzman said.
Councilor De Guzman made her appeal to the city folks at the end of their radio program at the Radyo Rapido 92.5 FM based in Koronadal City, where she and fellow councilors Preachie Louella Ogoy and Henry Aguirre discussed the need to address the issue of “mentall health” during this COVID-19 pandemic.
