KORONADAL CITY, Philippines — A total of 2,400 pupils and 73 teachers and thousands of parents are expected to benefit the newly-built open gymnasium of the Marbel 1 Central Elementary School (M1CES) in the city’s biggest barangay, its principal said on Friday evening.
And they are thanking Deputy Speaker for Mindanao and South Cotabato 2nd District Rep. Atty. Ferdinand “DINAND” Hernandez, who gave the gymnasium to their school.
Congressman Hernandez led the turn-over ceremony of the said school gymnasium inside the compound of M1CES located in Barangay General P. Santos (GPS) recently.
(NOTE: The health and safety protocols issued by the Inter-Agency Task Force were strictly observed during the ceremony, the school head said)
Congressman Hernandez was accompanied by Koronadal City Mayor Eliordo Ogena, Barangay Captain Margie Subaldo and several DepEd officials in turning-over the said school gymnasium to M1CES officials and teachers, led by Principal IV Maria Fe Lita S. Yparraguirre.
In an interview via fb messenger, Principal Yparraguirre said they are expressing their gratitude to Rep. Hernandez, Mayor Ogena and Kapitana Subaldo for their “continuous support to the school’s advocacy of providing quality education to all learners.”
“We are so thankful that even (we communicate) in messenger (only) natugunan ang pangangailangan ng school. At least magamit na sa graduation and other activities,” Principal Yparraguirre said.
The said school gymnasium was constructed through the effort and initiative of Rep. Hernandez. (Rashid RH. Bajo via DM-Mindanao Desk)
