MAGUINDANAO, BARMM, Philippines — Mayor Elizabeth Mangudadatu Tayuan of Mangudadatu town in Maguindanao province launched recently her “Barangay Visitation” program that aimed to directly deliver government services to the barangays and giving the residents the chance to participate in the delivery of basic services and development undertakings in her municipality.
The said program reportedly earned praises among the residents of Mangudadatu town and hundreds of “netizens” after Mayor Tayuan launched it early this month.
Mayor Tayuan said talking with the people of the town’s barangays is her way of “knowing directly” their concerns and problems.
During the said program, Mayor Tayuan held a “face-to-face dialogue” with the residents, asking their “problems” and their “suggestions” on how to effectively serve them.
“Kinukuha natin ang kanilang mga suhestyon para sa ikakabuti ng bayan ng Mangudadatu. Nagde-deliver din tayo ng libreng mga serbisyo medikal at iba pa sa mga tao,” Mayor Mangudadatu said. (Rashid RH. Bajo via DM-Mindanao Desk/Photo credit to LGU-Mangudadatu FB account)
