Libo-libong mga lamok tepok sa patuloy na “canal declogging operation” ng DPWH sa Sultan Kudarat

ISULAN, Sultan Kudarat — Tepok at nagsilayas ang libo-libong mga lamok dahil sa patuloy na “declogging operation” na ginagawa ng mga maintenance personnel ng 1st District Engineering Office ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) sa probinsya ng Sultan Kudarat sa mga kanal sa tabi ng national highway sa bayan na ito.

Ang nasabing “declogging operation” nila ay bahagi ng kanilang “routine works” at bilang suporta na rin ng DPWH sa “dengue prevention” at “flood control” na mga programa ng LGU-Isulan at ng national government.

Ayon sa report na natanggap ng Mindanao Desk ng DIYARYO MILENYO, mas pinaigting ng DPWH ang kanilang paglilinis sa sa mga kanal na matatagpuan sa “Marbel-Ala Valley-Cotabato Road” ng magsimula ang “rainy season,” kung saan kinokonsidera na panahon ng pamimiktima ng mga lamok na may dala na “dengue virus.” (ELSIE CAMPUA via DM-Mindanao Desk)
