Remembering General Akmad Mamalinta as recipient of Gold Cross Award

The Gold Cross Award for gallantry in action was awarded by Major General / President Fidel Valdez Ramos, former Chief of Constabulary and former President of the Republic of the Philippines to Akmad Mangelen Mamalinta, GSC 0-6384 Scout Ranger and Special Forces. He was commissioned in the Regular Force (Philippine Constabulary) in 1972. Last assigned and retired as Regional Director of Police Regional Office ARMM (PRO-BAR) 2005-2007.

COLUMBIO, Sultan Kudarat –– HONORING GENERAL AKMAD MAMALINTA. Columbio Municipal Councilor Datu Zahir Mamalinta honoured his late father General Akmad Mamalinta on the celebration of National Heroes Day last August 31, 2020.

Councilor Mamalinta said “History will always speak for our father as the first and the sole Maguindanaon Police Officer to have reached the position of Regional Director in the Philippine National Police since its formation in 1991 up to present day (waiting for the next from our tribe).
