Ex-beauty queen-turned-public servant distributes vitamins to Koronadal City's health workers to boost their immune system

KORONADAL CITY, Philippines — Beauty queen-turned-public servant City Councilor Mylene “Inday Mylene” Bascon-De Guzman distributed “vitamins” to health workers in Koronadal City, who also served as frontliners in the battle against the deadly COVID-19.

In a phone interview, Councilor Bascon-De Guzman told the DIYARYO MILENYO that she dropped her vitamins to the city’s 27 barangays.

“Ang mga barangay na ang bahala mag-distribute sa mga health workers,” Councilor Bascon-De Guzman said. “Gusto ko na ma boost yung mga immune system ng aming mga health workers.” Councilor Bascon-De Guzman said she bought the vitamins from her salary.

“It’s my way of protecting those protecting us,” Councilor Basconm-De Guzman said. (RASHID RH. BAJO)
