LGU-Datu Abdullah Sangki holds “house-to-house” feeding program

DATU ABDULLAH SANGKI, Maguindanao –– The Datu Abdullah Sangki (DAS) Municipality celebrated the International Youth Day and Linggo ng Kabataan 2020 by holding mobile (house-to-house) Feeding Program in its 10 Barangays.

This year’s celebration has a theme “Youth Engagement for Global Action”.

LGU-DAS Mayor Datu Pax Ali Sangki Mangudadatu said “the of International Youth Day 2020 is to shed light on the need to enable the engagement of youth by making local, national and global institutions more inclusive for the purpose of strengthening their capacity (and relevance) to achieve global action.”

Mayor Mangudadatu added: “It also aims to promote ways to engage them in becoming more actively involved in making positive contributions to their communities.”

According to Mayor Mangudadatu, ‘many activities and events that take place around the world on International Youth Day promote the benefits that young people bring into the world. And DAS youth take their stand and created impact through IYC and Linggo ng Kabataan Program with 100% compliance and observance in COVID 19 IATF guidelines.”

He said the “IYC and Linggo ng Kabataan 2020 is a program led by SK Federation President  Yasser Sangki and Local Youth Development Office supported by the Local Government Unit that encourages the DASeños youth to be more involved in the undertakings of the municipality.”

“Their roles as youth leaders should be shaped with passion and determination to achieve their goals for a better Municipaity, as well as in nation building through the activation of the Local Youth Development Office where the Sangguniang Kabataan, young leaders can now be a part of the decision-making for Datu Abdullah Sangki’s development.
