DPWH road workers in Sultan Kudarat join with ARESCOM’s clean-up drive

ISULAN, Sultan Kudarat — Roadside workers of the 1st District Engineering Office (1st DEO) of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in Sultan Kudarat province joined with the clean-up drive activity of the 1202 Sultan Kudarat’s Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion (SK-RRIBn) held yesterday (Saturday, September 26, 2020) morning.

The clean-up drive is one of the activities prepared by the 1202-RRIBn, in partnership with the 12th Regional Community Defense Group (RCDG) of the Army Reserve Command (ARESCOM), in celebrating the National Reservist Week, this year.

DPWH-SK 1st DEO Assistant District Engineer Alihar A. Mama said the road workers, under the Maintenance Section, headed by Engr. Hazel Socias, helped the reservists in cleaning-up the fronts of Isulan public transport terminal and provincial capitol.

Engr. Mama said he is thankful to full-pledged District Engineer Amer T. Pundag, MPA and Engr. Hazel Socias for allowing the roadside workers to participate in such noble activity of the reservists in the province.

The roadside workers were headed by Maintenance Point Personnel (MPP) David Palacad. They are responsible in maintaining the Kidapawan-Allah National Road.

Aside from being an Assistant District Engineer, Engr. Mama is also an enlisted officer of the ARESCOM with a rank of “Major” and currently designated by 1202nd RRIB Commander Lieutenant Colonel (and Governor) Datu Suharto “Teng” Mangudadatu, PhD as “Administrative Officer” of the battalion.
