ISULAN, Sultan Kudarat –– Members of the Sultan Kudarat Provincial Mobile Force Company (SKPMFC), 43rd Special Action Company (SAC), 4th Special Action Battalion (SAB) helped “renovate” one of the oldest mosque in Isulan, the capital town of Sultan Kudarat province.

Patrolwoman Mary Eileen Bautista, chief of the PCAD-PNCO of the SKPMFC, said the mosque at Masjid Alay Salainto in Barangay Impao was built in 2008 and dozens of Muslim residents are doing their “sambayang” (prayer) there.

Patrolwoman Bautista said after days of doing repair and renovation works, through the spirit of bayanihan with troops from the SKPMFC, 43rd SAC, 4th SAB, they successfully renovated the mosque.

“We spent P15,000 in its renovation works. We also bought new floor mats and ceiling fans for the mosque,” Patrolwoman Bautista told The DIYARYO MILENYO in an interview.

The newly-renovated mosque would give comfort and would provide safe structure for the Muslim residents praying there, according to Patrolwoman Bautista.

Patrolwoman Bautista said the renovation of Islamic worship structure, like the mosque, is one of the community-based outreach programs of the SKPMFC, under the supervision of Police Lieutenant Colonel Roy Romualdo as its force commander, together with 43rd SAC, 4th SAB led by Police Staff Sergeant Arsenio Pagaddu and under the supervision of Captain Amado Espina.

“The SKPMFC, the 43rd SAC and the 4th SAB wanted to show to the communities that they are friendly forces and always ready to help them when they need us,” Patrolwoman Bautista said. (RASHID RH. BAJO/Photo credit to Patrolwoman Mary Eileen Bautista)
