SOUTH COTABATO, Philippines — Deputy Speaker for Mindanao and South Cotabato 2nd District Rep. Atty. Ferdinand “DINAND” Hernandez gave 1,500 pieces of hygiene kits to the Central Mindanao’s Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG-12) for the protection of the more than 1,500 contact tracers it hired, trained and supervised.
Each hygiene kit contains two (2) pieces of face shields, ten (10) pieces of face masks and one piece of 60 ml alcohol.
In total, the congressional office of Rep. Hernandez turned-over 3,000 face shields, 15,000 face masks and 1,500 alcohols to the DILG-12.
The said hygiene kits were turned-over by Congressional Office Legislative Researcher Ms. Juvy Lyn M. Estember to DILG-12 Regional Supply and Planning Officer Muhammad Farzieh Abutazil on September 29, 2020.
In a press statement, the regional office of the DILG-12 based in Koronadal City said it will distribute the 1,500 hygiene kits to its newly-hired contact tracers from Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani, General Santos City and Cotabato City.
Rep. Hernandez said the hygiene kits for contact tracers is his own little way of repaying them for accepting the call of the government to help save lives in this time of pandemic.
“Ito po ang aking munting pasasalamat at pagpapahalaga sa mga contact tracers na tinanggap ang isang napakabigat na tungkulin sa kabila ng banta sa kalusugan. Hangad ko po na makatulong ang hygiene kits upang kayo ay manatiling ligtas at malusog,” Rep. Hernandez said. (RASHID RH. BAJO)
