Rep. Hernandez leads “switch-on” ceremony for the lighting of 44 families living in a remote village in SoCot

KORONADAL CITY, Philippines — The long wait is over for 44 families in a remote community in Surallah, South Cotabato.

Why? Because they will no longer live in darkness. They will enjoy now the comfort of light after decades of living without access to power.

Last Thursday (Oct. 22), South Cotabato 2nd District Rep. Atty. Ferdinand “DINAND” Hernandez led the “switch-on” ceremony at Purok Mangga in Barangay Tubi-ala in Surallah, known to be one of Upper Valley Area’s progressive towns.

Congressman Hernandez was joined by Vice Mayor Pinky Divinagracia, Councilors Ross Rosal, Ian Christopher Escleto, Resuli Villanueva, SOCOTECO 1 Director Mario Mondejar, Barangay Captain Bertito Elias and the barangay council during the “historic moment” for the 44 families. (RASHID RH. BAJO)
