Deputy Speaker for Mindanao Dinand Hernandez presides Monday’s session of the House of the Representatives

KORONADAL CITY (Region 12), Philippines — After several months of “work-from-home” setup, South Cotabato 2nd District Rep. Atty. Ferdinand “DINAND” Hernandez resumed his work as deputy speaker for Mindanao of the House of the Representatives in Manila.

Yesterday (Monday, Nov. 16), Rep. Hernandez said he’s “elated to physically attend and preside today’s session” after eight months of “zoom meetings”.

While working-at-home, Rep. Hernandez busying himself inspecting and turning-over over his “initiated” projects in Koronadal City and in the towns of Tantangan, Banga, Surallah, Norala, Sto. Nino, Lake Sebu and T’boli, all parts of the second congressional district of South Cotabato province.

Aside from handing-over relief goods to the residents affected by COVID-19, Rep. Hernandez also distributed hundreds of wheelchairs to “persons with disability” and thousands of face masks, face shields and personal protective equipments to residents and health frontliners.

Farmers praised Rep. Hernandez for buying all their vegetables and distributed it to the residents during the height of COVID-19.

Before he left for Manila last November 13, 2020, Rep. Hernandez inspected his initiated 6-lane road widening project worth P110.3-M along Marbel-Makar Road (600 meters from Camella Homes to 420 meters before Saravia bridge in Barangay Saravia) in Koronadal City.

Mayor Eliordo Ogena, Vice Governor Vicente de Jesus, DPWH Region 12 Director Basir Ibrahim, Engr. Arnold Ulangkaya, Maintenance Chief Engr. Alimondaya Tanggol, Project Engr. Acob Marohom, CENRO Head Augustus Bretaña and City Engineers Office Head Engr. Ruel Tianchon joined with him during the inspection. (RASHID RH. BAJO)
