UP Manila graduate tops 2020 physician licensure exam
A UNIVERSITY of the Philippines (UP) Manila graduate tops the 2020 Physician Licensure Exam.
Jomel Lapides, 29, topped the exam with a rating of 88.67 percent.
Lapides took a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in UP Manila and pursued medicine in the same university in 2015.
While studying, Lapides was also working as a nurse at the Sentro Oftalmologico Jose Rizal, an ophthalmology department of the UP Philippine General Hospital.
Other passers on the top ten came from UP Manila namely Rapahael Rodolfo who takes 3rd place (88.33 percent), Hannah Chito and Tiffany Uy in 5th place (88.08 percent), Jem Golbin and Eric Olnos on the 8th spot (87.75 percent) and John Almanza and Markyn Kho both clinch the 10th spot (87.58 percent).
The results were released Thursday, Nov. 26.
