DPWH completes four-lane asphalt overlay project in Tacurong City

TACURONG CITY (Region 12), Philippines — Motorists plying along Dulawan-Marbel Road Section in this city are now enjoying the completed four-lane asphalt overlay project of the 1st District Engineering Office (1st DEO) of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in Sultan Kudarat province.

Tacurong, the component city of the province, is the gateway to the provinces of North Cotabato, Davao Del Sur, Maguindanao, South Cotabato and cities of Koronadal, Kidapawan and General Santos.   

A report posted in its social media account, the regional office of the DPWH-12 based in nearby Koronadal City said: “The asphalt overlay for the four- lane national road has a total length of 7.152 kilometers and comprises engineering solutions to reduce risks of road accidents and damage to concrete pavements.”

Guardrails were also installed along with it, according to the DPWH-12 report.
