TACURONG CITY, Philippines — A part-time college instructor is now leading the tri-media group in Sultan Kudarat province.
Larry Forro, a college instructor teaching professional ethics, philosophy, history, good governance and social responsibility at Southern Mindanao Institute of the Philippines (SMIT) based in this city, has been elected as the president of the Sultan Kudarat Tri-Media Association during its assembly in Isulan, the capital town of the province, last week.
Forro, who is the current finance and logistics officer of the Radyo ni Juan (DXRA) 88.3 FM based here, will lead the group for one-year term.
Tri-media members described Forro as a “very credible broadcaster” with Impressive professional qualities. They believed Forro will lead the group towards a fruitful journey.
“He has an outstanding qualification and we are pinning our hopes on him for a credible profession. We know he would be a good leader to us,” Abdul Campua, publisher of the AL Suara News and the elected treasurer of the group, told Diyaryo Milenyo in an interview today.
Jocris Barroga, publisher of the Life Camera News and the elected public information officer of the group, said Forro told him that he will lead the tri-media under the guiding principles of fairness and professionalism.
Forro thanked the tri-media members for choosing him to lead them, saying “thank you for putting your trusts on me.”
Apart from being a broadcaster, Forro is also the current secretary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Sultan Kudarat chapter.
Those other officers of the tri-media are Arnel Palada of Max FM (Vice President), Donna Leono of Radyo ni Juan FM (Secretary), Abdul Campua of Al Suara News (Treasurer), Maricel Valenzuela of Radyo ni Juan FM (Auditor), Nancy Magon and Psyche Santiago (Business Managers) and Jocris Barroga (Life Camera News).
The said new officers will take their oaths on December 19, 2020 in Isulan. (RASHID RH. BAJO)
