TACURONG CITY, Philippines –– The Highway Patrol Group (HPG) urged motorists to follow the prescribed traffic rules and regulations to avoid getting caught in its operations along the national highways of Sultan Kudarat province.

IN THE PHOTO, HPG–Sultan Kudarat Highway Patrol Team (SKHPT) deputy team leader Police Senior Master Sergeant Romar Gonzales explained to George Soriano, publisher of the weekly-based Eagles Journal circulating in Central Mindanao region, the mandate of the HPG, that is to oversee and enforce traffic safety compliance on roads and highways, while conducting operations in Tacurong, the component city of Sultan Kudarat province on Friday (Feb. 5).

The HPG–SKHPT is under the leadership of Police Major Roel G. Villarin.

“Sumunod po tayo sa traffic rules and regulations, lalo na pag nagda-drive tayo sa national highways. Asikasohin ninyo ang mga papeles ng inyong mga sasakyan para hindi kayo mahuli at maabala,” Gonzales said.

Gonzales stressed that driving without pertinent papers, like driver’s license, vehicle registration and many others, is illegal.

“Kapag may violations kayo, wala kaming magawa kundi hulihin kayo. We are just implementing the laws. Sana maintindihan ninyo,” Gonzales said. (RAMIL H. BAJO/Photo credit to Bishop George Soriano of Eagles Journal)
