International Labour Organization project team pays courtesy call to Maguindanao Governor Bai Mariam Sangki-Mangudadatu

BULUAN, Maguindanao (BARMM) — Maguindanao Governor Bai Mariam Sangki Mangudadatu welcomed the courtesy call today of the International Labour Organization Project Team on Achieving Reduction of Child Labour in Support of Education: A programme to reduce worst forms of child labour in agricultural communities in BARMM.

Mr. Elias Salazar, Project Officer sought the support of the provincial government in order to implement effectively the target outputs and activities at provincial level highlighting that Maguindanao is one of the pilot provinces of the project.

The ILO aims progressive withdrawal of children in child labour especially those living in deprived municipalities through support in education and needed skills training while providing economic empowerment and also needed trainings for parents and caretakers of these child labourers.
