ISULAN, Sultan Kudarat –– Nearly 15,000 cc of various types of blood were collected by the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) from the donors during the blood donation drive organized by the Sultan Kudarat chapter of the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers (PICE) today.

Engr. Alihar A. Mama, president of the PICE in Sultan Kudarat province, said they conducted the blood–letting activity to help supplement the supply of blood in the province.

“The collected blood will ensure the availability of blood in the province. It will help save the lives of others,” said Engr. Mama, who thanked the PRC for partnering with PICE to generate blood.

Engr. Mama also expressed his gratitude to the reserve forces of the Sultan Kudarat 1202nd Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion (1202 RRIBn), to the troops of the Sultan Kudarat Provincial Mobile Force Company (SKPMFC), to the personnel of the 1st District Engineering Office (1st DEO) of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in Sultan Kudarat province and to the members of the Esperanza, President Quirino, Isulan, Bagumbayan, Lambayong and Tacurong City police stations for positively responding to their invitation to join the PICE–initiated blood donation drive.

“Thank you for your participation and generosity,” Engr. Mama told DIYARYO MILENYO in a messenger interview.
