1M COVID-19 confirmed cases sa Pinas maaring matamo; 740k cases posible bago matapos ang Marso – OCTA Research

IPINAHAYAG ng OCTA Research group ngayong Sabado, Marso 27, na aabot sa 1 million confirmed COVID-19 cases ang Pilipinas, subalit may posibilidad na umabot naman sa 740,000 confirmed cases bago matapos ang buwan ng Marso dahil sa patuloy na pagtaas ng mga kaso kada araw.

“Hindi pa naman agad agad ‘yun. Depende. Ang trajectory natin aabot tayo mga 740,000 up by end of March. Pero by April titingnan natin,” ito ang pahayag ni Professor Guido David sa isang interbyu sa Dobol B TV ng GMA Network.

Aniya, wala pa namang kalinawaan kung aabot nga sa 1 million confirmed cases sa pagtatapos naman ng buwan ng Abril. Ngunit, may posibilidad na ito ay makita sa loob ng dalawang buwan pa kung hindi epektibo ang batayan sa pagsunod na mga tinakdang batas sa pag-iwas sa nakamamatay na virus.

“‘Yung [‘NCR Plus] bubble so far nakikita naman natin may effect naman siya dahil bumababa naman ang reproduction number. Pero ‘yun nga, baka kukulangin ‘yung dalawang linggo, pati ‘yung apat na linggo. At least ito [‘NCR Plus’ bubble] naba-balance natin ang hanapbuhay ng ibang kababayan,” saad ni David.

Samantala, sinabi naman ng OCTA Research nitong linggo na ang reproduction number sa National Capital Region (NCR) ay bumaba sa 1.91 mula sa previous nito na 1.99. Nasisilip din nila na maaring umakyat pa sa 11,000 new COVID-19 cases kada araw bago matapos ang buwan ng Marso.
