Bilang ng mga aktibong kaso ng COVID-19 sa NCR, maaring sumipa sa 30,000 – DOH

Kahit pa nasa pinaka mahigpit na quarantine classifications at ang pagpapatupad ng hard lockdown, ay maaring pumalo sa 30,000 o higit pa ang bilang ng mga aktibong kaso ng COVID-19 sa National Capital Region (NCR), ayon sa isang opisyal ng Department of Health (DOH) nitong sabado.

Sa pagtatala ng DOH’s FASSSTER (Feasibility Analysis of Syndromic Surveillance using Spatio-Temporal Epidemiological Modeler) at Autumn groups, sinabi ni Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire na, “Dito po sa mga scenario nakakita po ng increase in the number of active cases mula 18,000 to 30,000 plus cases. ‘Yan ay naka-ECQ na po tayo.”

Aniya, ang projection na ito ay base sa dalawang senaryo; ang NCR na kasalukuyang nasa ilalim pa ng one-week general community quarantine (GCQ) with heightened restrictions na susundan naman ng three-week enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) at four-week ECQ).

Ayon pa sa kalahim na ang pag-imposed ng naturang lockdown ay makatutulong sa pagsasaayos ng health system upang ma-control ang hawaan ng virus.

“Kailangan iprepara ang system, gawin natin ang mga dapat gawin para ma-prevent ang further spread ng Delta variant,” saad ni Vergeire sa nakaraan na Laging Handa public briefing. #DM
