Nagbigay nang “go signal” si Pangulong Rodrigo Roa Duterte sa karagdagang tatlo pang mga lugar ang isinailalim sa pinaka mahigpit na kwarantina sa bansa, ayon kay Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque nitong Huwebes, Agosto 5.

Ayon kay Roque, inaprubahan ni Pangulong Duterte ang rekomendasyon ng COVID-19 Task force na isailalim ang Laguna, Iloilo City, at Cagayan de Oro sa enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) mula ngayong Araw hanggang Agosto 15.

Ang Cavite, Lucena City sa Quezon, Rizal at Iloilo province ay isasailalim sa istriktong modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) sa loob ng mga nabanggit na petsa.

Ang Batangas at natitirang bahagi ng Quezon Province, ay magpapalit din ng klasipikasyon ng kwarantina mula sa general community quarantine (GCQ) patungo sa ilalim ng GCQ with heightened restrictions, ani Roque.

Ang naturang anunsyo ng Palasyo ay sa kabila nang natanggap nilang report na lumaganap sa social media nitong Miyerkules, Agosto 3, na ang Calabarzon o ang Region 4-A ay magpapalit diumano ng klasipikasyon sa ilalim ng ECQ bunsod ng banta ng Delta variant.

Samantala, ang Metro Manila ay mananatiling nasa ilalim ng ECQ simula ngayong araw, Agosto 6 hanggang 20. #DM
