ISULAN, Sultan Kudarat (R12) –– It’s not from Central Florida or Pennsylvania in USA (United States of America) but in SNA, an acronym for Senator Ninoy Aquino, town in Sultan Kudarat province.

SNA is nearly 80 kilometers away from the town proper of Isulan and known for its “Baguio–type weather” and “friendly hospitality” of the residents.

Mayor Randy Ecija Jr. said SNA is not only known for its “very cold” weather but also its “world class century–old caves and exotic falls.”

“Every year, hundreds of tourists, both domestic and foreign, are visiting the town to see its amazing waterfalls and caves,” Mayor Ecija told the Diyaryo Milenyo Digital News in a messenger interview.

Mayor Ecija said the strawberry farm is another town’s tourist attraction and he is thankful to its developer, the SDL FARMS.

The strawberry farm is located at the hill site of Sitio Parreno in Barangay Tinalon in SNA.

The strawberry farm, which is seen to be the new destination in the municipality, is established by the SDL FARMS that reportedly hired workers from the Manobo–Dulangan tribe.

The management of SDL FARMS said it will open the strawberry farm to the public on September 1, 2021.

It advises the tourists to secure “booking” first before going to the farm. It also reminded the public to bring their CCTS, face mask, face shield, personal hygiene and vaccination card.

The entrance fee for adults is P100 and P50 for 10 years old and below.

Strawberry picking is allowed but visitors “should pay” for it.  They are not selling the ripe strawberries per kilo.
