ISULAN, Sultan Kudarat–– Journalist Jaynard Ignacio Angeles, a local weekly newspaper publisher and a radio anchor popularly known as “Tinig ng Bayan” by his listeners and online viewers, has filed his certificate of candidacy for Sangguniang Bayan (SB) in Lambayong, Sultan Kudarat in the upcoming 2022 polls.
Angeles said he filed his certificate of candidacy (COC) for Sangguniang–Bayan of Lambayong last October 1, 2021 at the town’s COMELEC office.
He was accompanied by his mayoralty candidate Beryong Abellera, vice mayoralty bet Alfonso Garma Guerrero and fellow other SB candidates.
Angeles said they are all running under Partido Federal ng Pilipinas, a national party chaired by South Cotabato Governor Reynaldo Tamayo, Jr.
“Isang malaking karangalan po sa akin na magpagsilbihan ang mga mamamayan ng Lambayong sa pamamagitan ng pagbahagi ng aking kakayahan, kredibilidad, integridad at talino,” Angeles said.
If he wins, Angeles said, he will fearlessly project himself as one of the voices of the Lambayong people, especially the millennials, the women, the youth, farmers, the health workers, the government workers, the urban poor, the rural folks and the senior citizens, in the town’s legislative council.
Angeles, an evangelical preacher and a father of two kids to his beautiful Ilocana wife, has started his media, both in print and radio, career in 2008.
He published the “Dyaryo ng Bayan,” a weekly newspaper with circulations in the provinces of Maguindanao, Sultan Kudarat, North Cotabato, Sarangani and cities of Cotabato, Koronadal and General Santos.
While on publishing business, he tried the radio by working either a reporter or an anchorman. Later, he became managers of various radio stations in Tacurong, the component city of Sultan Kudarat province.
He was once a manager and a hard–hitting commentator of Radyo ni Juan 88.3 FM and Radyo Bandera based in the city.
At present, he is connected with Radyo Pilipinas as its provincial correspondent in Central Mindanao region and a contributing writer of KATRIBU NEWS, a local weekly newspaper owned by alternative medicine expert Dok Freddie Solinap. #DM
