DTI celebrates National MSME Week with Bagsakan in Festival Mall

The Department of Trade and Industry – Bureau of Domestic Trade Promotion (DTI-BDTP) is celebrating the National MSME Week with a special Bagsakan at the Expansion Hall and Carousel Court of Festival Mall in Muntinlupa City from July 13 to 17, 2022, from 10:00 a.m.  to 9:00 p.m. Admission is free of charge.

In coordination with the DTI Regional Operations Group, Festival Mall, Filinvest Lifemalls, and the City Government of Muntinlupa, the five-day selling and order-taking event will feature over 50 Filipino enterprises from Bataan, Nueva Ecija, CALABARZON, Marinduque, Sorsogon, Nueva Vizcaya, Bohol, Cebu, Dinagat Islands, Negros Oriental, Samar, Zamboanga del Sur, Davao del Sur, Agusan del Sur, Surigao del Norte, and the NCR.  

Institutional buyers, retailers, exporters, resellers,  distributors and households from Southern Metro Manila  and nearby provinces are invited to  source a  rich variety of authentic Filipino products such as native delicacies, processed food and snacks, beverages, healthy food selections, personal care items, health and wellness products, gift items and souvenirs, fashion items and accessories, handicrafts and woven products, as well as furniture and home décor from the Festival Mall Bagsakan. 

Among the major highlights of the Bagsakan include a special wine mixing demonstration by Sol’s Italian Food and Philia Variety Store; a leather crafting workshop by Handcrafted by Harl’s; and special furniture showcase of the CARAGA Region. The City Government of Muntinlupa will also offer their services to help aspiring entrepreneurs start their enterprises and existing entrepreneurs grow their businesses.   

Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the BDTP has collaborated with major commercial venues like Festival Mall to help MSMEs, farmers, and fruit growers reach more customers and sell their products. The bureau’s Bagsakan Special Project is a crisis-response initiative to ensure the availability of food products, stimulate consumption and support the reopening of the economy. 

As reminder for visitors, safety protocols such as social distancing and wearing of face masks will be strictly implemented.
