This three-day event gives Filipino consumers access to a diverse range of products from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) member countries including Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines.

Philippine Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are participating in the 3-day online sale.  Consumers can select from a wide range of products and services in categories such as fashion, electronics, home and living, consumer goods, tourism and travel, food and beverages, and craft.

The AOSD website houses the hyperlinks to the websites of participating businesses and marketplaces. The 2022 AOSD is also conducted to observe the ASEAN’s 55th anniversary celebration.

As for any complaints on products bought during the said 3-day online sale, ASEAN consumers may file a complaint by visiting the ASEAN Committee on Consumer Protection (ACCP) website and clicking on the “file a complaint” feature on the left side bar of the webpage. The DTI and other consumer protection agencies in the ASEAN monitor and facilitate submitted complaints. Through this complaint mechanism, ASEAN seeks to increase consumer confidence in the region.

“The DTI reminds the Filipino consumers to exercise their rights to information and choice when shopping online in order to get their money’s worth”, says DTI Undersecretary for Consumer Protection Group, Atty. Ruth B. Castelo.

For more information on consumer rights and responsibilities, visit the DTI website and the Consumer Care social media accounts – Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. For consumer-related concerns and queries, send an email to ConsumerCare@dti.gov.ph or call the One-DTI (1-384) Hotline. END
