Through this MOU, the BSP affirms the importance of collaboration and intellectual exchange in research. The BSP and DLSU will explore sharing of information and resources, co-authorships, joint publications, sponsorships of conferences, and other research events.

“We intend to explore emerging issues and engage in blue skies research that can help the BSP become future-ready this is where collaboration is important. May this mark the beginning of a long, productive, and collegial relationship toward building a body of high-quality research,” BSP Governor Felipe M. Medalla said.

The BSP recognizes the importance of pursuing joint research and intellectual exchanges with the academe and domestic and foreign research institutions to strengthen and augment its own research. To formalize these initiatives, the BSP has developed several MOUs on research collaboration with partner research institutions.

To date, the BSP has signed agreements with the Philippine Institute for Development Studies, UP School of Economics – Philippine Center for Economic Development, Agricultural Credit and Policy Council, Philippine-American Educational Foundation – Fulbright, Ateneo de Manila University, and UP Los Baños.
