Dalawang Pinoy ang kumpirmadong patay dulot ng magnitude 7.8 na lindol sa Turkiye, ayon kay Department of Foreign Affairs Undersecretary Eduardo de Vega.

Kabilang ang 2 Pinoy sa mga natabunan ng mga debris sa mga gumuhong gusali.

Isa sa mga nasawi ay taga Istanbul na dinala ng kanyang amo sa Hatay province para dalhin sa probinsya at magbakasyon. Aniya, parehong nadaganan ng gusali ang dalawa at hindi na na-rescue.

“I was monitoring her personally at ngayon lumabas ang balita, confirmed news from her daughter nanghihingi ng tulong sa akin po na patay na ang nanay niya kailangan ng financial help. So ayun nanghihingi na po kami ng love offering sa community dito para maasistehan yung pamilya.” salaysay ni Weng Timoteo, Vice President ng Filipino Community in Turkey sa isang interbyu sa TeleRadyo.

Samantala, 3 Pinoy naman ang sugatan at patuloy na inaabutan ng tulong ng ating mga kababayan doon.

Mahigit 21,000 na ang nasawi sa lindol sa Turkiye at Syria.
