SANTO TOMAS, BATANGAS—President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. together with Trade and Industry Secretary Fred Pascual witnessed the inauguration of the Mega Prime Foods Inc. (MFPI) Manufacturing Plant held on 1 March 2023 at Santo Tomas, Batangas.
Grounded on its boundless commitment to provide Filipinos with high quality products, Mega Prime Foods Inc. will carry Mega’s current extensive portfolio of delicious, nutritious, accessible, and affordable food products needed to build a healthy Filipino household.
MFPI’s Manufacturing Plant is expected to contribute to building the manufacturing capacity of the company, thereby providing enough supply of their products to meet market demands. It will also be a state-of-the-art center that features modern and energy-efficient light sources to lower carbon footprint emissions.
The establishment of the manufacturing plant coincides with DTI’s strategic priorities such as to promote innovation and regional development. In terms of innovation, it will bring in latest technology in manufacturing that will help improve the quality of Filipino products, enabling it to compete in the global market. Meanwhile, for regional development, it is expected to generate more business and employment opportunities for Filipinos, especially those situated in the province of Batangas. END.
