The Hungry Paws PH is one of the country’s most popular, up-and-coming pet store franchises today. It is a one-stop shop where fur parents can find everything their furbabies need. From cute accessories and affordable grooming tools to pet hotel services, you can find them all in the Hungry Paws PH. Last August 2022, a new branch of this reputable franchise opened its doors to the public in Del Monte-Banawe, Quezon City. This shop is run by a family of pet lovers, who have four cute little furbabies of their own. Sidney Bandiola, who is at the helm of store operations, was able to sit down with us and tell us all about their newly-opened branch.
It was during the pandemic that they started to coin the idea of putting up a pet store, as they noticed that a lot of people were either buying or adopting pets as a way of coping with the lockdown. More and more people were turning into first-time fur parents, and thus, the demand for pet supplies and services was quickly rising. This became the perfect business opportunity for the Bandiola family, and once the pandemic restrictions became more relaxed, they were able to open their own pet grooming and hotel business.

Being a start-up, their business strategy was touch and go, mostly baby steps but careful steps. There was a lot of uncertainty as they struggled to learn the ropes and get the business up and running. However as time went on, Sidney found that their passion for the job and love for animals were growing in proportion as well. “We are hands-on in the operations and we always make sure that we make proper connections with the fur parents. And since we are fur parents ourselves we strive to serve these furbabies the best way we can,” says Sidney. As a result, many people came to their store and availed of their services, even to the point of having multiple regular customers. New clients are also regularly added to the list. They were able to create and sustain their own little community of pet lovers, and it is this community that inspires the Bandiola family to continuously improve their products and services.
The Hungry Paws PH Del Monte-Banawe Branch has now become a 120-square-meter haven for fur babies and their parents. For the fur babies, The Hungry Paws PH is a place where they can get groomed and pampered, or otherwise a safe place to stay while their owners are out of town. Currently, Sidney is planning to hire more groomers to cater to the needs of more pets. For fur parents, they have everything they may need to care for their pets all under one roof. More than that, the shop ensures comfort for the fur parents while waiting for their fur babies to be groomed. The spacious lounge feels like the comfort of your home, with free, freshly-brewed coffee. The free parking is also a good treat!
“We continue to think of ways to upgrade,” says Sidney. “We will always strive to go the extra mile to give our clients the best service they deserve. As our mantra says ‘We Create Happy Tails,’ and we are always looking forward to making more happy tails.”
