Nilinaw ng Department of Health (DOH) na hindi pa nila ipinagbabawal ang pagtatampisaw sa mga beach sa Puerto Galera.

Ayon kay DOH Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire, hindi pa conclusive ang nakitang bakas ng langis malapit sa dalampasigan sa naturanf lugar.

“Right now, ang affected pa lang naman at ang tinetest natin ay yung nasa shorelines na naapektuhan ng oil spill. Puerto Galera is not among those pero nagkaroon sila ng random sampling ng test across the different areas and Puerto Galera has been included,” pahayag ni Vergeire sa isang panayam sa telebisyon.

 

Kabilang sa naapektuhan ng oil spill ang Pola sa Oriental Mindoro na kalapit lamang ng Puerto Galera.

 

Matatandaan nitong Pebrero 28, lumubog sa Naujan, Oriental Mindoro ang MT Princess Empress matapos hampasin ng malalaking alon habang naglalayag patungong Iloilo galing Bataan. ##
