Boac, Marinduque – The National Commission for Cultural and the Arts (NCCA) Committee on Cultural Education conducted the Durungawan sa Kulturang Pilipino last June 30 to July 2 hosted by the Marinduque State College (MSC).
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Durungawan was designed for the community, teachers and students before the pandemic in 2016 and adapted to the new normal state of affairs in 2020s return to in-person this year. This reiteration of the cultural education summit affirms the significant roles of students, teachers and lifelong learners with succeeding activities in the country.
The Island Innovation ambassador presented the program and partook during the Hello, Mr President episode 11 with the NCCA commissioner Carlo Ebeo and NCCA National Committee on Cultural Education vice chair Dr. Jovy Peregrino and the MSC President no less, Prof. Dr. Diosdado Zulueta. The said episode would be aired soon this month after the Luzon leg of Durungawan and Cultural Consciousness week from July 3 to 7.
MSC is going to start the level of Graduate Diploma in Cultural Education (GDCE) by July 17 to August 12 while Bachelor of Culture, Arts Education and some graduate students who took up EdM 201: Foundations of Cultural Education also attended Durungawan.
Teacher-Scholars and Cultural ambassadors could readily serve their purpose and be worthwhile in helping with cultural mapping, inventory of cultural properties and promote heritage tourism.
The succeeding activities would be Likhai Marinduque Art Exchange, Rigodon Theater Cultural exchange, CulEd 204: Issues in Cultural Education by September during the Creative Industries month and in preparation for the closing and culmination of the Boac Quadricentennial celebrations. Likewise, the next Durungawan leg would take place in Siquijor by July 21, Zamboanga del Sur in August 2 and wrap up in Tawi-tawi by August 11. #
