Book Nook Marinduque receives donation from Volunteer organization and line Agencies

Mogpog, Marinduque – Filipino language and author books hub of the Marinduque State College Extramural Study Center increased its holdings from donations from US PH Library Builders, National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) and Eastern Quezon College last July 10.

 

The Book Nook Marinduque have received at least 1500 books from various Filipino publishers since November 24, 2021 courtesy of the National Book Development Board (NBDB) for the first batch of reading centers in the archipelago.

NCCA National Committee of Cultural Education also have donated some books in conjunction with their Cultural Education summit dubbed as Durungawan ng Kulturang Filipino last June 30-july 2 with its Commissioner Carlo Ebeo and NCCEd vice chair Dr. Jovy Peregrino. Likewise, graduate students from Gumaca, Quezon also furnished BN Marinduque with their output from EdM 201: Socio-Cultural Foundations of Education under Dr. Randy Nobleza, island innovation ambassador of Marinduque.

Moreover, the US PH Library have donated books April 8 last year in support of Book Nook in the province. The MSC ESC site administrator Sir Gerald Pajanustan, Book Nook co-area coordinator welcomed the guests from the said volunteer organization. The MSC librarian Arlene Rualo and Samahan ng mga Moryon sa Mogpog Gilbert Monsanto also graced the occasion to show appreciation to the US PH library builders.

Book Nook is a banner program of the NBDB to foster public readership and create a community of readers all over the country. Book Nook Marinduque would also be participating in Panagtapok: the Book Nook Conference this August 17-19 at Davao during the Philippine Book Fair. ##
