The Small Claims system is a legal remedy developed by the Supreme Court to provide an accessible and efficient way for individuals to collect debts without the assistance of a lawyer. However, navigating the Small Claims system can be challenging without a comprehensive understanding of the rules and procedures involved in filing a claim.
This online webinar is designed to provide a complete overview of the Rules on Expedited Procedure in First-level Courts. The seminar will cover the provisions of the Expedited Rules, as well as the document forms required in filing Claims, with the aid of case studies and interactive exercises.
VLC invites small business owners, consumers seeking compensation for faulty products or services, freelancers or independent contractors seeking payment for work done, landlords or tenants involved in disputes over rent or property damage, paralegals, legal secretaries, or legal assistants, students studying law, or anyone who wants to learn about the legal system and their rights in Small Claims cases.
