Binisita ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr., ang burol ni Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) Secretary Susan “Toots” Ople sa Heritage Memorial Park, Taguig City, nitong Miyerkules, Agosto 23.

Kasama ng Pangulo ang kanyang misis na si First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos.

Naroon din sa burol ni Ople sina dating Pangulong Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, Department of Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla, Department of Tourism Secretary Christina Frasco, at Senator Cynthia Villar.

Hiniling na rin ng pamilya ni Ople na sa halip na magbigay ng mga bulaklak ay magbigay na lamang ng donasyon sa Blas Ople Policy Center upang maisulong pa rin ang karapatan ng mga overseas Filipino worker.

Kaugnay nito, hindi pa rin isinapubliko ng pamilya ni Ople ang sanhi ng pagkamatay nito.

Matatandaan na sumailalim sa operasyon si Ople noong Pebrero 2020 dahil sa breast cancer.

Itinalaga ni Marcos si Ople bilang kalihim ng DMW noong Hunyo 2022.
