Save the Children Philippines Child Ambassador Xia Vigor leads the children and youth right advocates during the opening ceremony of the 31st National Children’s Month at the Philippine Congress this November. Xia, a passionate advocate of children’s rights believes that the celebration gives importance to the role of children and youth in building our nation and our future. The event also highlighted the commitments of the legislators to the youth and children sector to address the issues on child rights and protection, proper basic social services such as access to education, healthcare, and nutrition, among other governmental support and assistance. Xia also led the children and youth groups during the children’s dialogue with legislators to push for the passage of the Positive Parenting bill which will protect more than 30M Filipino children from physical and humiliating punishments in all situations at all times.
