Datu Anggal Midtimbang earns the distinction of being the “first municipality of its class” in building “Ligtas COVID-19 Center”
MAGUINDANAO, Philippines — The town of Datu Anggal Midtimbang, popularly known as “DAM,” earned the distinction of being the “first municipality of its class” after it impressively complied the required “isolation facility” for its incoming “Returning Overseas Filipino” (ROF) and “Locally Stranded Individuals” (LSI).

DAM’s COVID-19 Ligtas Center Isolation Facility has 10-bed capacity and fully equipped with medical supplies and equipments to cater the needs of the ROF and LSI of the municipality. It is located in the town’s former municipal hall building situated in Barangay Adaon.
During its opening last June 1, 2020, both Mayor Maryjoy Estephanie Uy-Midtimbang and Vice Mayor Datu Jomar U. Midtimbang expressed gratitude to Maguindanao’s Provincial Health Officer Dr. Elizabeth A. Samama, MD, MHM, FPSMI for gracing the ribbon cutting ceremony of the said COVID-19 Ligtas Center and to MLGOO Leilali A. Limba for spearheading the assessment and evaluation team from MILG.
“Congratulations to Municipality of Datu Anggal Midtimbang for being one of the few Municipalities in the Province of Maguindanao who completely complied to the requirements and guidelines set for the establishment of the COVID-19 Ligtas Center,” Limba said.
