Jollibee, naglabas ng statement kaugnay sa deep-fried ‘Jolli-Towel’ order ng isang customer sa BGC

Imbes na Chickenjoy, ‘Jolli-Towel’ ang natanggap na order ng isang customer.

Sa halip na maging happy ang Jollibee customer na si Alique Perez, dismayado ito nang matanggap niya ang inorder niya na Chickenjoy via GrabFood sa isang Jollibee branch sa Bonifacio Global Taguig nitong Hunyo 1.

Kaya naman, trending ngayonn ang ‘Jolli-Towel’ ng Jollibee kung saan ay samu’t saring memes at katatawanan ang patuloy na lumalabas sa social media.

Base sa screenshots, photos, at videos na ipinoste ni Alique Perez sa kanyang Facebook account, ang kanyang mga inorder ay 4-piece Chickenjoy Family Box Solo (half original and half spicy) sa halagang P280.60 at isang order na 1-piece Chickenjoy with Palabok Solo (P182). Ang dumating na delivery ay Chickenjoy bundles na may kasamang Palabok at ang deep-fried towel, kung saan tinawag ito ni Alique na “Toweljoy”.

“I really thought that the post complaining about weird stuff in their orders were just all made up, now I know that it really happens! So disgusting and embarrassing… to think that you’re even branched in BGC [Bonifacio Global City]. There’s a first for everything. And this has been the worst first! Calming myself down for this… But WTH.” saad ni Alique sa kanyang ipinoste.

Ayon pa kay Alique, pinalitan naman daw ng Jollibee ang kanyang order na Chickenjoy with Palabok Solo, ngunit ang 4-piece Chickenjoy Family Box Solo ay hindi pinalitan.

“Now I can’t even think of the other Chickenjoys na kasama while frying this. Having the same oil for how many hours after frying this FRIED TOWEL. Ano pa kaya kasabay ng mga Chickenjoy natin? You may get your Chickenjoy pero baka may kasabay nang towel. The essence of the towel contaminated the oil and the batter from the supplier so how many Chickenjoys are affected? We won’t know…” pagtatapos ni Alique sa kanyang post.

Samantala, naglabas naman ng official statement ang Jollibee Foods Corp sa kanilang Facebook page. Batay sa kanilang statement, ang Jollibee Bonifacio – Stop Over branch ay sarado sa loob ng tatlong araw, simula ngayong araw, June 3 para pag-aralan kung sumusunod nga ba ang naturang branch sa kanilang standard procedures at hindi na ito maulit muli.
