
PRESS RELEASE: The 43SAC, 4SAB PNP-SAF under the leadership of PCapt. Amado Espina, Company Commander initiated the Caravan for Peace with the following program “Adopt a returnee Child Program,” ” Tsinelas Hakbang Sa Kapayapaan” and “ECO Warriors for Peace” which indicates on the PNP Core Values Makadiyos, Makatao, Makabayan, at Makakalikasan.
The beneficiaries of the said program were former rebels/ rebel returnees and their children who return to the folds of our Government.

Likewise this program supports the campaign of the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) to attain lasting peace in our country.
The ” ECO Warriors for Peace” is a project that aims to preserved and protect our mother nature and natural resources with the un-ending support of LGU and PENRO together with our rebel returnees, we were able to plant trees more or less 300 seedlings as of February to present.
This activity showcased our unity between the Government and rebels as partners in the program of PGEN.DEBOLD SINAS, CPNP dubbed as ” KALIGKASAN” Kaligtasan at Kalikasan!
Meanwhile, the essence of Tsinelas Hakbang sa Kapayapaan or Slippers for Peace project is of two-fold.
The unit believes that giving away of slippers is symbolical for it represents the steps taken not only by the government but by the people of the community to attain lasting peace.
Moreover, the gesture is a concrete expression of love, hope and faith in which the recipients of the project made feel that they are important part of the community and their presence is given due importance.
This project will influence them to walk a new life and rise towards a better future. The primary recipient of this Adopt a Rebel Returnee Child project is the child of the rebel returnee who cannot afford to support the education of their children but willing to go to school.
It aims to support their education by sending them to school and providing them school supplies needed. This will help them to have a better future and become an active supporters of the government. (PCPL MARY EILEEN BAUTISTA via DM-Mindanao Desk)
