Fearless female broadcaster in Koronadal City files COC for vice mayor 

KORONADAL CITY, Philippines --- Veteran broadcast journalist and former city councilor (three straight terms) Erlinda "Bing" Pabi-Araquil filed today her certificate of candidacy for city vice mayor here.

KORONADAL CITY, Philippines — Veteran broadcast journalist and former city councilor (three straight terms) Erlinda “Bing” Pabi-Araquil filed today her certificate of candidacy for city vice mayor here.

Araquil, popularly known in the city as “Bing Pabi,” was accompanied by Atty. Eliordo “Bebot” Ogena, who is running for city mayor with her.

Also, today, all the city councilors under Ogena-Bing Pabi slate filed their certificate of candidacies at the city’s COMELEC office.

In the morning program of broadcast journalist Andy Laranja of Brigada News FM-Koronadal City, Bing Pabi said if she wins, her leadership at the Sangguniang Panglungsod (SP) will be anchored on “balance, exemplary and productive” legislative council.

Bing Pabi stressed that she is not a “politician” but a “public servant.”

“Hindi ako politiko kundi isa ka public servant,” said Bing Pabi, who ran independently and got elected as city councilor here for three straight terms.

She served as city councilor for 9 years. She took three years break in politics after losing to city vice mayoralty fight in the last 2019 polls.

Bing Pabi is also known in the city for helping people, mostly indigents, in their financial needs through her daily program at Brigada News FM-Koronadal City.

Bing Pabi, a USM alumnus and a holder of masteral degree in public administration, is married to a former trial court judge. #DM
